My story is about how God can take a shattered life and turn it into something beautiful. God gets all the glory for the great work that he has done and continues to do in my life.
The trauma in my life began at a very early age and continued into my adult life. I was rejected by my mother from the time I was conceived, molested by my stepfather, subjected to satanic ritual abuse, rape, beatings, torture, and the death of child. In an effort to escape the pain, I lost myself in addiction which led to prostitution and prison.
On December 2, 2015, I entered Home of Amazing Grace, and since then, the love and grace of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ have fundamentally changed my life. 35 years were spent in addiction. I never would have thought that I would be living the life that I do. (Ephesians 3:20) God has raised me up out of the depths of hopelessness into a position of authority and accountability. I have the chance to give back to the ministry that God used to transform my life by taking on the position of Executive Director at HARRC Ministries.
My name is Brittany Ross, and I’m here to share how the Lord has saved me countless times. I grew up with biological parents who were addicted to drugs, living on the streets until my brother and I were placed in a children’s home and adopted. My adoptive parents were strict and didn’t give us the love we craved, which led me to rebel as a teenager, using drugs and living recklessly. I returned to live with my biological mother, who had gotten sober, but my life spiraled further into drug use, abusive relationships, and criminal behavior.
Through it all, God protected me. I was kidnapped, trafficked, and surrounded by satanists, yet God saved me from these situations. I struggled with addiction, and even after trying multiple rehab programs, I couldn’t get clean on my own. God led me to Heaven’s Army, a Christ-centered program that changed my life. I learned integrity, good character, and how to put God first.
Today, I am married to a godly man, have a beautiful daughter, and a restored relationship with my adoptive family. God’s grace has transformed my life, and I want to share His love with others. No matter what you’ve been through, God can use you!
I am a recovering drug addict only by the grace of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Due to my life choices and addiction, my husband and I were separated for eight years. My life and my family went from shattered pieces to complete restoration and renewal.
While residing at Heavens Army Home of Amazing Grace, I was able to surrender everything at once to God and allow him to transform and renew my heart and mind into who he originally designed me to be.
Upon graduation, my husband and I renewed our wedding vows. We went from leading our children into addiction into leading them to the freedom of Christ. We proudly serve as a family in our church. Today, I am a confident woman of God, wife, and mother. I look forward to my future serving the Lord and fulfilling His purpose for my life.
I was 15 years old when I came to Heaven’s Army, after being in drug and alcohol addiction and the grooming process for sex trafficking. Leading up to this point, I had attempted suicide multiple times, been sexually assaulted, and other significant events.
My past trauma, dysfunctional life, and misguided decision-making brought me to my rock bottom, where I encountered the Rock, Jesus Christ. I had to unlearn the destructive lifestyle and attachments, rebuilding my foundation on Him alone. He tore me down and removed what was killing me so He could build a palace within me.
During my time in the program, I earned my Driver’s license, GED, and began working towards an associate degree in Bible College, and I’m currently the store manager for Heaven’s Army Brewtique & More where I’m learning entrepreneurial skills, marketing, and networking. Healing requires work, and God requires a willing heart. My life truly began when I ran out of rope and said, “I’m ready to do this Your way. I’m looking forward to my future!”
